Attorneys Form Litigation and Political Law Boutique for the 21st Century

Chalmers Pak & Burch LLC

Atlanta, GA – June 19, 2015 – Douglas Chalmers, Jr., State Representative Byung “BJay” Pak, and Carolyn “Tippi” Cain Burch are pleased to announce the formation of Chalmers Pak & Burch LLC. Well connected in the business, legal and political communities, these attorneys are creating a boutique firm that will focus on litigation and political law matters.

Douglas Chalmers, the firm’s Managing Member, is a nationally-recognized authority on political law. He is also an experienced litigator who has defended numerous high-profile clients. “I am excited about this opportunity, and am looking forward to working with BJay and Tippi,” Chalmers commented. “Our Litigation and Political Law Group will provide a unique combination of litigation and political law services. It will do so in a cost-effective model that allows us to focus on providing creative solutions for our clients.”

An accomplished litigator and former Assistant U.S. Attorney, BJay Pak is currently serving as a Georgia State Representative. Mr. Pak is widely known as the lead prosecutor in the corporate espionage case involving a conspiracy to sell The Coca-Cola Company’s trade secrets to PepsiCo – a case that received national media attention. “I’m looking forward to expanding the litigation side of our practice,” Pak stated, “including white collar criminal investigations, whistleblower claims, and constitutional challenges.” Mr. Pak is also very active in the Atlanta and Washington, D.C. Korean-American communities.

Tippi Burch has over 10 years of large law firm experience representing clients nationwide in complex litigation and business disputes, including commercial litigation, appellate litigation, product liability claims, employment claims, and whistleblower litigation. “This was a perfect opportunity for me,” Burch said. “We all have worked in large law firms and bring those skills and experiences to the table, but a boutique firm such as this allows us to be more creative and to provide more attentive service to our clients.” Burch currently serves on the Executive Board of the Atlanta Lawyers Chapter of the Federalist Society.
