Personal Experience & Biography

Chuck Gabriel is an accomplished civil litigator who brings years of investigative experience as a former FBI agent to his legal practice. He is a highly respected attorney who has been peer-rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell.

As a civil litigator, Chuck focuses his practice on complex litigation matters, class actions and business disputes involving:

  • Director, officer and employee misconduct matters
  • Ownership disputes
  • Fraud
  • Contractor/vendor disputes
  • Misappropriation of proprietary information or trade secrets
  • Other business torts

Chuck has successfully represented clients in class actions, fraud against the government, whistleblower claims, and civil RICO matters. In 2014, Chuck’s clients won the largest class action settlement judgment in Georgia (In re Cobb EMC Class Action, Cobb Superior Court, Civil Action File No. 10:100353-48). In 2018, Chuck’s dentist and dental practice clients achieved a $32.5 million class action settlement and judgment regarding Lava Ultimate™ restorative material (Bhatia, et al. v 3M Company, USDC, DMinn, Case Number: 16-cv-1304 DWF-DTS [].

Chuck received his bachelor’s and law degrees from Syracuse University. His successes as an attorney and litigator in large measure flow from the wealth of knowledge and insight in the areas of ethics, corruption, and challenges to public commerce gleaned during his first career as an FBI Agent and legal advisor.

Throughout his nearly 30-year FBI career, Chuck focused on complex organized, conspiratorial matters from white collar and financial crimes to organized crime, espionage, and public corruption. His many successful cases included a conviction of a Georgia state senator that ultimately led to a state constitutional amendment automatically suspending elected officials from office upon a felony conviction. Chuck established the Public Corruption Awareness Program for the FBI in Georgia and published a thought-provoking assessment of the federal government’s role in addressing public corruption at the state and local government level.

Prior to joining Chalmers & Adams, Chuck was a partner in Pierce ~ Gabriel Partners, LLC.  Chuck is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia and the North Carolina State Bar and leads through his Georgia and national practice. He is also admitted in New York State.
