Personal Experience & Biography

Drew is a corporate and securities attorney for startups, emerging and mid-market companies, and private investment funds. While based in the Pacific Northwest, Drew represents clients around the country and across the world. Drew handles a wide range of corporate transactions, including formations, corporate governance, convertible and preferred equity financings, and business combinations.

Drew also maintains a burgeoning political and election law practice in Washington State. He is lead counsel for parties in two different redistricting cases currently pending before federal courts and represents Republican candidates, political committees and activists in matters ranging from ballot eligibility to campaign finance compliance.

Outside of his legal practice, Drew serves in the Washington State House of Representatives, where he is currently the House Minority Leader. He has previously served as Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee, Minority Floor Leader and Chairman of the Select Committee on Pension Policy. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Auburn Valley YMCA.

Drew is a lifelong Washingtonian and has been married to his wife for over 15 years. Together they have four sons and a border collie. When Drew isn’t working, he enjoys hiking and camping throughout Washington with his family.

Drew graduated cum laude from University of Notre Dame Law School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University, where he also studied mathematics and history.

Drew is admitted to practice in Washington (state), Texas and Arkansas, as well as to the bars of the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
