Jim Hicks concentrates his practice on business litigation, business transactions, corporate formation, outside general counsel work, fiduciary litigation, government affairs, government liability.

Jim earned his J.D., magna cum laude, at Georgia State University College of Law, where he served as a Graduate Research Assistant analyzing impact investment and private equity funds in conjunction with the Impact Finance Research Consortium. He also externed with the State of Georgia Office of the Attorney General, where he gained experience in commercial transactions and business and finance litigation.

He also holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Economics from the University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Varsity Track & Field and Cross-Country teams. As a student-athlete, Jim was the University’s representative on the Southeastern Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and a recipient of SEC Brad Davis Community Service Award.
